Hopefully one last clarification on the point system. The point totals for this year will be from the 2007 US National Championship through the 2009 US National Championship. The only reason there is a 2 year accumulation of points is due to the fact that we have not had a National Championship in that time. Team USA will be picked from the points accumulated from US National Championship to US National Championship. Assuming that the National Championship occurs every year the following team selection will be based on 1 year point accumulataion from National Championship to National Championship. If we have National Championships every other year, then a 2 year accumulation will take place. Hope this makes sense for everyone. Sorry for the housekeeping emails.
For those that are not currently on Team USA, there is still ample opportunities to make next years roster. For those currently on Team USA, there is still ample time to secure your spot! With 3 international type events and 2 regional comps, there are still a lot of points to be had by everyone, but you must finish well in all of these events to get those points! Once we have the confirmed point totals you will see that if you finish top 3 in any of the international events the point totals can be upwards of 18,000 points if you finish #1 based on the number of competitors in the past at these events. Just as a guideline, the current leading point individual has 24,000 points. Again I will have point totals for those that have scored posted once we have the points confirmed.
