Competitive Circuit

Ladies and Gentlemen:

There will be an adjustment to the latest email sent about World Team selection. Originally, we had wanted to be able to send a full team to Poland this summer to scout the water for next year’s championships. In order to do so we would have had to pick our team relatively soon. As I mentioned in the last email about the points we were going to go with the top 3 point getters through the end of July. However, we have changed this to analyze the top 3 point getters through the 2009 US National Fly Fishing Championships. Thus, the team that will compete in Poland will be made up of Pete Erickson, Mike Sexton, the top 3 point individuals through the US National Fly Fishing Championships and the US National Champion. The scouting team that will go to Poland this summer will include Pete and Mike instead of 5 people. The 15 man roster for Team USA will also be determined by the top 15 point individuals from the 2007 US National Fly Fishing Championship through the 2009 US National Fly Fishing Championship. Hope this clarifies any confusion. So to sum up, the SE Regional in North Carolina, the Rocky Mountain Regional in Bozeman, Montana, the America Cup in Frisco Colorado, the Canadian National Championship in British Columbia and the US National Championship in Pennsylvania will all count for point totals to determine both the World Team going to Poland as well as the 2010 roster for Team USA. If we also end up having regionals in Idaho and Vermont before the US National Championship, these will also be counted into the totals.

Point System Totals will be posted as soon as we can get them tallyied and confirmed! We should have totals through this year’s World Championships completed sometime this week. Look for them in your email as well as the website!

Please forward this to anyone competing but not on this email list!

Thanks!

Regards,

Anthony
