TroutLegend NorthEast Regional 2010 #1
Entry: Anyone
When: May 22st-23rd, 2010
Where: Johnsonburg PA
Format: Strict Fips-Mouche Rules including full Catch&Release/Barbless Hooks, etc. Competitors will control & compete 3 sessions each over 2 days. There will be 3 sessions per day. 3 River sessions including Class A Wild Brown Trout Water and huge Trophy producing Brown Trout Water.
Field: 16 Competitor Cap/6 Minimum
CoopRank: 3x Multiplier in TroutLegend Cooperative Ranking System
EntryFee: $25
Lodging: Camping or Motels in Area.
This will be an exciting competition for experienced competitive anglers and those just looking to get a taste for Fips-Mouche competitive fly fishing events.

Do the points accrued in The NE Regional count toward qualifying for the 2010 National Championship in Colorado?By the way-your photos of the rainbows dressed in their spawning wardrobe were ‘great’.Let me hear from you.

Short answer: No. This is currently not a sanctioned TeamUSA event. That may change down the road, but as of this posting I don’t know of any such events announced yet for 2010.

Is this the actual team usa regional? I saw that you had replied that it is not a sanctioned event ,what exactly does that mean? Thanks , Jason

“Fly Fishing Team USA” and “The TroutLegend Competitive Fly Fishing Cooperative” are two different associations.
The following is derived from observation: The Coach/Board of the National Team (USA) decide, at their own discretion, which competitions may or may not be both A) “Point Gainers” and B) “Regional Qualifiers” for their National Championship. For example, in the last “Team USA” point cycle several competitions that were not “Regional Qualifiers” were in fact “Point Gainers such as: CA National, a Utah Competition, Americas Cup, etc.
My use of the word “sanctioned means that Team USA has not included this competition as either A or B as per above.
Thus, the “TroutLegend NorthEast Regional 2010 #1″ is not currently a “sanctioned” TeamUSA event.

It really is some nice water that I am looking at setting up beats on. The hope is to make this the first of many and it is getting some local interest so I have high hopes for this type of competition bringing some interest to the sport.
I hope to see some of you guys there enjoying some of the water I grew up fishing.
