For those of yu who have been to past Championship , I was wondering about the "event Patches " that they show.

do they give these only to the competitor"s or can one purchase a patch? Or do they make Patches?( saw the pictur on the event website) 2nd reason is I ( family heritage specifically my grandparents ) came from Poland and thought it would be kinda neat to have one of these patches.

The Polish team and 2 other polish members are coming to the America Cup when I get home I'll send you some contact information and you can ask if they would bring you a patch, They all are great guys and Iam sure that if you ask they might bring or send you one. The patch most of them have was red back round with white eagles facing away is that the one?

The 4 Worlds I've participated in didn't have patches so this must be a Polish thing but they sound cool.

Usually the host country has some sort of memorabilia for the competitors. Usually free, but sometimes offered for a small fee. In Portugal I got a paper weight, Finland I was given countless mosquito bites, New Zealand I bought a cool banner, and in Scotland I gave away some scotch.

If I knew I would be in Poland I'd offer to try to bring you back a patch, but since it is not likely that I'll make it I can't make any promises....

Thanks for the repies..I wasn't sure if they do patches or not but the logo they have looks pretty cool. I guess any type of memorabilia is cool form one of these events and the chance to say been there done that is even better.
