Team TroutLegend is excited to announce that we will host the first Team USA sanctioned North East Regional competition on March 12-13, 2011 in State College, PA. The roster will consist of 24 competitors in two 12 angler groups. Anglers will compete over two days, fishing a total of four sessions. Competitors will be responsible for their own transportation and meals.

Entree Fee: $75

Likely venues include Big Fishing Creek, Little Juniata River, Penns Creek, and Spring Creek.

I've seen it all. This is our working plan right now to afford less sector judges, less travel, and movement of volunteers.

Registration Forms will be sent out next week via email. Here is a list of venues and acceptable practice water. As of 2/10/2011 all competition water will be closed to competitors.

The venues will be Big Fishing Creek, Little Juniata River, Penns Creek, and Spring Creek.

Big Fishing Creek

   * Competition water starts at the first bridge at the narrows and extends to the Sieg Conference Center.
   * Practice Water starts at the Sieg Conference Center and ends at the Tylersville Fish Hatchery access.
****Please Respect Cabin water regulations on Sundays****

Little Juniata

   * Competition water starts at the Spruce Creek church and ends at the Quary access.
   * Practice water begins at the confluence of Spruce Creek and the Little Juniata downstream until the Barree bridge.

Penns Creek

   * Competition water starts at the confluence of Elk Creek and Penns Creek and ends at the Coburn bridge.
   * Practice water begins at the PoePade State Park and ends at Engelby access.

Spring Creek

   * Competition water starts below the Bellefonte Community Park and ends at the MCcoy Dam.
   * Practice water begins downstream of the Benner Springs bridge and ends at the Bellefonte Community Park.

There are a total of 42 people that contacted my regarding the entry form. We won't have a problem making the 24.

quick question....with 24 guys fishing this comp and 4 beats and 2 days of fishing...how many guys will be fishing the beats at the same time?

Brandon,

4 venues (rivers), not beats. Given the number of anglers fishing, that's six beats per venue for a total of 24 beats.

So you only have to worry about who fished your beat before you, not with you.

Oh I see now....Thanks Chris for clarifying that for me.....Never fished a comp before, hopefully fishing my first in March...and couldn't understand the math...but now it's clear.
