Hello all i am new to the board but have been fly fishing my whole life. i have been talkin with dejon and i would like to put together a mini comp here in michigan. i would like to see all who would be interested and if there is enough interest we can get things rolling. you can message me on here or call and text me at 517-213-6965. thanks and hoping to hear from you guys!

Yes, I would be interested in doing that. I live here in Indiana and it is not a far drive. What area or rivers are you interested in fishing??

I would be interested I am from Kalamazoo, MI. I know about 4 or 5 others depending on time frame that would be interested too. Jason Hearle (WI), Alan Bole (MI), Kevin Thomason (MI), Jeff Stanifer(IN). We all have competed at the regional and national levels. Kevin T., myself and a few others used to organize the Michigan Regional Trials on the Muskegon R. three times. I think the Muskegon would be a good venue. We have about 26 beats mapped out on the Muskegon. About 20 are walk-in the other 6 you would need boat access. We even have power rankings on every beat based on how each fished at a regional trails over three competitions. If we can get enough Michiganders interested we would like to see a Michigan Trial again, especially since I can't get into any of the three current regional trails. It is a load of crap I've competed in the last four national championships and I can't even get into a trial. Anyhow if you are interested in spearheading this mini comp Kevin & I would definitely help. I am sure we can get 14 or so competitors.

hey guys i am thinking sometime in may but not sure the date yet. i am considering either the muskegon or maybe the ausable up in mio. let me know what all of you think on either of these rivers for a comp.
