Lake Rod questions
« on: January 20, 2010, 10:56:12 PM »
When i fished the few Bass tourneys that I did on Lake Erie, I had several rods rigged  up for different situations.  Is this legal for trout comps?  I've seen posts about having different sink tips ready to go but why not save time and have a completely different rod rigged up for different situations just like the bass guys, unless of course this goes against the rules.  Is there a limit on how many rods you can have in the boat?

HAHA! I'm that guy or used to be anyway. I'd always have at least 5 or 6 rods rigged and out on my front deck. You guys don't even want to know the bass stuff I have. I still have my boat rigged with multiple depth finders and GPS and all that junk. I should probally sell it, I never use it.

You have to Nick.  If the bass misses your crankbait you want to follow quickly with a big piece of rubber.

25.2. Competitors may have spare fly rods with them but when boat fishing, these must not be assembled nor the reel attached.

That works every time when they miss a buzzbait too.

Thanks Dejon

Nick,
I think the bass circles back on the second bait because he thinks its wounded from him pounding it earlier.
