What an wack job!  Love it. Makes me want to put together some experimental rock band like I had in my 20s that only we understood and no one else liked :)  That is one sweet guitar effect - what's the name of that Chinese instrument it's mimicking?

Dejon-  that guy makes absolutely amazing music!! he knows what hes talking about too.  I'm not sure if its purposefully mimicing a specific intrument.  The guitar hes using is actually just a synthesizer controller and its going into a Roland RE-201 or other space echo. .. plus who knows what else...

Jackson that last video is hardcore brother.  It is like a Dharma Initiative video meets A clockwork orange.

Anyone ever see "Kung Fu Hustle"? It's the instrument the 2 assassins use to slay the masters in the village.  Classic Chinese instrument that's just slipping my mind righ tnow.

Black Label Society! Best damn band in the world.

Can't argue with Pantera either. Nothing makes me want stomp some faces like Cowboys from Hell.

Nick, you read my mind.  Pantera it is.   Although, if I am out west, I like some Hank III, just to "fit in".

nice Dejon... kind of reminds me of the japanese instrument the koto.  Ive been wanting to get my hands on some sort of asian ethnic instrument similar to this for awhile now for processing.  I saw you mention you collected boutique pedals... do you still have those?  play the guitar much still?  I'm always interested in hearing about different peoples audio rigs!!

I'm embarrassed to say I don't play the guitar at all these days.  I got rid of most of my fancy overdrives and compressors. Still got a bunch of delays and such that I need to get around to putting upon ebay.  I spent so long doing the band thing that all these memories come flooding back everytime I try to sell a piece of gear.  I know most of the pedals need to go - they're just taking up space.  But I can't decide to keep the hollow body Ibanez or American Strat as my single electric. And the Hot Rod or Blues Jr. as the amp.

That American Strat is looking more like a Bucks Bag Pontoon to me these days :)

I used have a hot rod deluxe also.  Great little amp.  I used a Marshall half stack with a crate head and a cry baby and a digitech rp7 for playing out.  I always wanted a gretsch white falcon but never happened.

ive been in the market for a decent tube compressor.  I'll eventually need a good head and cab, i use a 200 watt bass amp though which at least has the volume.   Priority right now is expanding my modular synth rig though.
