Thought I'd share another knot tying demonstration with all of you. Keep in mind that any strategy that could potentially save you a few extra seconds while changing flies can really add up over a three hour session...

With your three knots tying suggestions you just doubled my fishing time Todd

. With my bad eyes and chubby fingers it sometimes took me 5 minutes to tie a triple surgeon knot. Not anymore, I already practice these knots, 10 seconds and they are done.

Thank you again Todd for great information. I saw the mate on a bluefish charter boat do a similar move one time, but that was with 12oz sinkers and 50lb test! You method and explanation makes it applicable for river trout fishing. Please keep the useful tips coming.

FYI; This knot can be done much faster than what I demonstrated. I tied it slower than normal so you could see how it's properly done.

I know use it for all competition knots.

This is my favorite knot as well. Ties fast, doesn't stress the line and has almost 100% strength. I use a variation of this knot replacing a blood knot. A third of the size of a blood knot and it's an inline knot as well.
