Got some hooks from Fishguy.net. I am pleased so far there is really no difference next to my Temico that I already had. Nice find.

The flytyersdungeon I placed an order there today and hopefully I will be pleased with there stuff as well.

Glad to hear you like them FFPA, I sure do. The 3 steel I caught Sunday all were on thefishguy hooks.

You might be waiting for a while to get stuff from the flytyersdungeon, but it really is worth it (I've had it take upwards of a month for an order to come in, but sometimes I get things 3-4 days after I order. It depends on how busy he is at the time i guess). His dubbings are great, and so cheap. I haven't been disappointed with anything I've ordered from the Dungeon yet.

one thing on the fly tyer dungeon is that sometime next month if things hold true to years past he will offer a christmas box special....it is a box of materials ( a lot of materials) that htey throw together of thier choice at the shop usually close out and left over kinda end of the year blowout. The cost last year was 25.00/box a literally got like 60 items from dubbing / flash etc i think you get the pic. good deal for the price I thought..watch the site for tohe posting they usually go fast and limited quantities. if i see it i will post it..

Those Christmas boxes are worth SO much more that $25, that was one of the first things I ever ordered from him. That totally won me over.

**Update**

I did have a problem with the drag on the Albright Bugati, but I think it was from disassembling it and not torquing a nut tight enough during re-assembly. I am still using it, and have caught a bunch of Steelhead on it this season. The needle bearings in the drag assembly starting rusting on me, which is why I took it apart in the first place. So, all-in-all it is a cheap reel that works, but you are getting what you pay for.

Mark, How did you like the Fly Tyers Dungeon Christmas box?

On a differnet note, a company called Allen & Co. (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/) offers a fly box for $9.50 (he has specials where you may be able to get them for a discounted price) that is REALLY NICE (<-- yes I am yelling). It is double-sided slit foam with clear lids and a solid clasp mechanism. There is a rubber gasket around each side that the lid really squeezes into when closed. I can't see any water seeping into this thing from being dunked. This box is being sold by other vendors for over 20 bucks, and even that price would be fair. These boxes remind me of the Scientific anglers waterproof boxes that they sell at Gander Mtn. for about $25. My brother and a buddy of mine got a fly box each from me, and it pained me to let them go. I still have two for myself that are going to be filled up ASAP.

Allen & Co. hooks are pretty cheap (price, not quality), but I haven't stuck them in any lips yet to test them out. They aren't offering any barbless hooks yet, but there are new styles of hooks being added to the list constantly so who knows...

The box was not bad It had a lot of good stuff in it espically for making bait fish patterns that I have been playing around with. I was pleased.

That's good to hear Mark, are you doing those "high-tie" style baitfish patterns? The congo hair is just like EP Fibers. Once my Spring Trout box is set, I'll be trying some of those style streamers for the Warm-water fish.
