It looks very likely that an Echo Shadow is in my future. My question is 10ft or 10.5ft? From what I have read, the 10ft seems like it is a little more versatile and able to cast dry flies a little better when necessary. It also appears that the 10.5ft is the more popular choice but I know this is a comp forum. I am nymphing 90% of the time, but I do like to throw dries at the end of the day. I usually prefer versatile (I have budget/marriage limits) so I have been leaning towards the 10ft. I just feel like the 10.5ft may be a little too much. I am fishing WNC river mostly.

I'd suggest the 10.5. Especially if you nymph 90% of the time.
