Hey friends,

I have the idea in my head that I need a fast action rod. Right now I have a 10 3wt streamflex, 10ft 4wt czn, and a 8'6" orvis clearwater II.

I'll probably go for something in the 9ft 3wt range but might go slightly shorter depending...

What rods do you guys like for faster action? What do you all think of the Sage One, Orvis Helios etc other more expensive higher end rods. Is it worth it?

What about a fast action rod that is more mid priced? I dont own a sage yet but they seem to sort of be known for there fast action rods. I used one a bit recently and liked it, but it was one of there lower end rods.

Just curious what you guys use for this size and weight class and your thoughts on whats out there.

i will of course be going out and casting a bunch of rods before i ultimately decide on anything

Jackson,

What will you be using the rod for? Are you looking or an all purpose rod?

If so, you' ll be hard pressed to beat the 10 ft 4 wt Z- axis. Close- outs abound right now.
