Do any of yall fish this rod? How does it do?

I really like this rod for casting competitions, have been borrowing Andrew Brown's rod at many of the local ones for more than a year now. I figure its about time to get my own.

Because of its "broomstick" fast action I was going to set it up to be my streamer rod. That and casting comps are the only real uses I can find for it. Do yall have a differing opinion or experience in the use of a fast action rod like this? What line would you recommend for the streamer setup?

I have the closely-related TiCr in a 9ft 6wt that is an awesome streamer rod.  Mine is the saltwater version with the fighting butt.  I don't streamer fish much, so I don't have many lines choices.  I mainly use a Rio DC 200gr and it throws a long cast beautifully, even with large articulated flies.  It is a heavy rod, but I think the mass helps for casting a heavy rig.

I have the 9ft 6wt TicrX. I use it for streamers, warmwater, I've even used it in saltwater for skip jacks and spanish. I had it overlined with a 7wt Rio Mainstream, cheap but worked. Picked up some Rio Streamertip back in July but haven't fished since then (school/football). It was reccomended to me by a streamer junkie at a local flyshop. If you are looking for a streamer rod, I'd say it's a good one. I'd never used anything heavier than a 5wt until I picked that rod up, it amazed me at how much easier it was to throw a big conehead streamer.

Seth I have a 5wt Axiom that I use for distance stuff. As for fishing it, I use it as my streamer rod with a 6wt Rio Streamer Tip line. Overlining it with this line really compliments its action and throws it, and comp lines, faaaaaar. I'll have this same setup at our Loch comp in decemeber if you're going to be there.
