These bad boys are just starting to become active and they can be a welcome addition to the fly fishing scene this time of the year. Also check out the rest of the Trout nut sight it is a great resource for pictures to help identify insects in just about any life stage.

What are some of your favorite patterns for the Isos?

They will be my fist series of patterns for fly of the month. I like fishing wets when they are really active.

Ahh yes the old wet fly. Hit Spring Creek yesterday for the Trico's. I was throwing a parachute trico pattern with limited success. Not much surface activity so I switched to a Trico wet. Made all the difference in the world.
