Projet Healing Waters
« on: October 03, 2010, 08:42:13 AM »
We just did 3 days with a group of 15 Soldiers from Ft. Carson. These guys were truly something special All were in no older than 30. Their love of the outdoors and fly fishing was something to see. They never wanted to eat lunch or come back to the camp for dinner, let's just keep on fishing till I can't see any more was voiced by all. I would encourage everyone to become involved in this great organization and give something back to the Soldiers for giving so much for us.  We fished The Blue River Ranch outside of Kremmling Colorado. The river was still high as it was during The America Cup but some fish were caught. Mostly we fished on some of the 10 lakes that are on the property. Many fish were caught in the 5-8 lb range. Just to see the looks on the faces of these soldiers when a monster rainbow takes off was priceless.

Fantastic experience for all involved, I am sure. Thank You Dave for putting that special time together. All Americans, especially vets, are proud of these men and the Project Healing Waters program that gives them something back for their sacrifices. HooRah.
