So, you are saying that size DOES matter?

Dude......

Nick I couldn't agree more.  The more I fish and read, the more I am convinced that presentation combined with confidence make up 99% of the game.  1% might get devoted to size and color.

Wow -- 1%.  I think that's taking it a little too far.  Presentation is most important.  No question.  But part of that presentation is being reasonable with the pattern.

I guess I'm just saying that I bet I could give you a group of flies to fish with for a couple days that wouldn't catch half as many fish as a group of reasonable patterns for the stream and conditions.

I consider size to be especially important at times.

Good discussion.

Enjoy the day.

That is interesting...Domenick has been convincing his wife for years that size didn't matter and now he says this.  I hope she doesn't see this.

Nice guys, real nice.

Funny how fly fishing talk can often be turned that way.  Just the other day I found myself saying that I felt like since my casting has improved I could probably handle another six inches or a foot in my butt section.   :o

Oh my.

Enjoy the day.

I could understand that if you were talking about a leader or maybe even a fly rod, but didn't you say that to an undercover cop at 2 in the morning?
