What do you think? Just one for each entrant enough?

We should have to send out 7 each.  Correct?

Yup, 7 each. I guess we need to figure out how long of a piece of uncoiled mono to send. I'd say its better to go a little longer.

Alright we are going to do this with 8. I'll PM you guys with my info. How about we send each other a section that we would normally pull off to use ourselves.

Didn't want you guys to think I forgot about you. We had two guys either drop out or I can't get in touch with them. I'm just waiting for sighters from one more person and then I'll break them up and mail them out. Since I will have extra I'll break up the extra evenly for everyone.

Thanks to everyone who participated,
Nick

Received my neat little package of sighters today.  Thanx so much for organizing this Nick!

So, I have some questions about how you guys put these together, but first:

My sighter was a 3 tone 8/10/12lb Ande Mono.  Since I made that I've moved on to look for brighter materials to compliment the middle yellow section and it looks like Cabelas Pink Floro and Berkeley Solar Collector Green are the stuff! I still really prefer the 3 tone sighter for both viability and turnover.  Unfortunatlely, both of the before mentioned materials are out of production... so if you find some please let me know :)

Questions:
1) What material are in the little drug baggies?  I'm guessing Red Amenisia is one, but the orange is nice and bright too.
2) All though we can't use backing indies the loop on those is fantastic!!! So tight and seamless. Please do tell how you do that?
3) I love the little drilled hole bone with the rubber gaskets.  I need all the details on that one as I'm going to steal it :)

thanx guys

Sorry I keep putting off mailing them for so long guys, that was all my fault.

Drug baggies, nice. :D

The red is 15lb amnesia. I like this one but it doesn't keep its memory so well.

The orange is 14lb Sufix Seige in Neon Tangerine. I found this one about a year ago and still use it about 90% of the time I nymph.

Saw your post, went out for the mail and there's my package too, little drug baggies and all.  Thanks guys.

Dejon, I learned to make the loops here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giH3O-jYkgQ

Not that tough, just need to find the right sewing needle size.  It's kind of fun.

I made those up around the same time that I made a couple for my friend Steve, and after he fished it for just a little while, the barring started to run, and soon enough he had a dark olive/black sighter!  Not so good for strike detection.   ;)  So I've been worried ever since that maybe I used the same marker on the sighters that I sent out for the swap.  I usually use a sharpie, but for Steve's I know that I used a generic marker that says it's "waterproof."

Anyway, will someone please dunk one of those in the water and see if the barring is running?  Let me know right away, and I'll send out another group to Nick and he can redistribute them to you guys.  I tie them up bicolor now with orange and chartreuse backing blood knotted together --- much better for low light conditions -- even more contrast.

Enjoy the day.
Domenick

Dejon,
I made the one with the holes in the stock,
Glad you like. Sorry I had no crack bags to put them in.

The round stock is some type of hard nylon I had in the shop. 2 drilled holes ,two  3/16 o-rings.

The line is very old stock of  14 lb.golden stren. boiled for 10 min with some vinegar.
I think the old stren was some what brighter then the newer stuff, running the line thru the holes gives a sharp right angle at the tie in point that I like. I also like the tag ends long for the ease of installing.
The nylon stock and o-rings can be used over many times.
Hope everyone enjoys them.

Ok lets all agree.  When anyone starts a swap its their responsibility to take good pictures and detail the goods on the site.

Touche!   Maybe so.  Have you notice my frustration with not entering.   At least I will take pictures. :)

Take pictures now too! I mean come on it took the piece of crap guy that ran the thing like a month just to stick them in the mail box.  ;) ;D

I'm headed out fishing now maybe when I get  home I'll take the pics. Everyone did a great job on them so its worth sharing.
