Dejon,

Thanks for the bios sticky.  I hope to see many more bios posted.  This is a great place to "talk fish" and learn from all of the knowledge out there.  I'm particularly glad that this site is drama free!

Bret,
I like the New Zealand shot.  Those boats were very cool, although a bit shiny for me.  Working from my memory of the worlds, the background looks like Lake Rotoaira?

Todd,
Your shot looks like Loch Leven?  Hard to tell since I can't see the boat!

Chris,
I really like your goal of representing the USA in the World Championships!  I hope you not only represent, but MEDAL!  Medalling at our regionals and nationals is very tough.  Medalling at the Worlds is even tougher!  I know, because I've never even been close!

Dejon,
Where is your bio?

I'll post mine up today.  I usually like to try to keep the forum less about me and more about you guys.

The team has been working hard to keep the forum on point, but I gotta say - things have been infinitely easier now that we're all "real people" :)

Well done on these to everyone involved.

The real name deal really seems to keep everyone in check now we can concentrate on adding more quality information to the Forum.

Lance,
That was Lake O. Tony Pesky (Czech Team) took the picture. What was the name of that little stream in your picture?

I totally agree Lance! I frequent some other fishing forums, and the "drama free" environment that is experienced here is second to none...

That photo was taken on Chew Valley Reservoir, while I was visiting John Horsey and competing at the Lexus European Fly Fishing Championships. That photo was taken on a practice day while I was fishing with our good friend Max Vershaka, from Team Australia.

That is one exceptionally large and beautiful trout in your photo! Was that one that you caught in New Zealand?

Todd,
I thought that looked like a UK background.  Having never fished chew, I wouldn't have guessed there specifically.  How was fishing with John?  I would like to do that someday.  The fish in my pic is from New Zealand.

Bret,
The stream is called Ngongotaha.  Or as we called it, the "not gonna get ____.  I'm sure you'll remember...  That was a fun little creek!
Well, I had a 50/50 chance to guess the lake, and I remember the "O" as being less mountainous, but it's really not any less, just a crappy memory on my part!

Fishing with John H. was a great adventure and learning process. He is an excellent host and a real class act. I doubt that you'd find a better teacher anywhere in the entire world for competitive-geared loch-style fishing lessons! I have fished with many great rods and coaches, but he is tops in my books...

Lance,
I remember the "not gonna..." but I couldn't pull the name out of the cobwebs of my mind. Great memories!

Bret,

Here's a shot I took of you and Tony (Team Czech Republic), when we shared the waters in that bay on the "Big O". I loved fishing in that lake, but couldn't believe that my first five trout were all too small to count. Luckily I eventually lucked-out and scored three counters. I seriously need to find a "fish stretcher" of sorts...

Thanks Todd.  It was really fun fishing with a Czech World Champion even though his English was really bad...still better than my Czech.
