Hi All,

Got involved in competitive fly fishing just this past year which lead me to the site. Quick browse through and it looks like their are a ton of knowledge guys hanging around here, as well as a lack of that 'crazy stuff' that takes place on a lot of other forums.

Looking forward to learning and sharing.

Welcome Shane!!!

For those of you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Shane yet, I can assure you that he is a very knowledgeable and humble fly fisher who lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Shane threw his hat (so to speak) into the competitive fly fishing arena this year, and won the individual silver medal after a brilliant performance at our Canadian national championships in Roblin, Manitoba.

So once again... welcome Shane, I for one look forward to your contributions on this site and am sincerely glad to have you on board as well!

Again, Thanks Todd, forgot to mention where I live ect...

Currently, I am mostly focused on Stillwater through much of Manitoba's Southern parts. I originally learned to fly fish in S. Ontario on the Grand River for browns and many other G. Lake tribs for Steelhead.

And the first step to recovery.... yes, I am an addict

Nice to meet you here Shane. Sounds like you live in an area with a rather diverse ecosystem - Tigers, Browns, Rainbows, etc... A good place to practice!

One of these days I plan to go revisit those relatives of mine in Winnipeg, and make a short detour to the south and west....

Hey Shane. Glad you landed here. Lots of good info to be had.

How are those tigers treating you? Good I hope. Randy has been trying to figure out how we could do a road trip to get back and put in some real time fishing for them. The one I caught wasn't enough.
