Hello everyone.  I have really taken a lot of interest in this site; lots of information, and I see that everyone is respectful, and willing to share and learn from one another.  I am a PA native, and have been flyfishing for some time now.  I enjoy the match the hatch stuff, swinging traditional wets, dragging streamers, and all styles of nymphing.  I am trying to become as multi-dimensional as possible, and someday hope to try my hand at competitive fishing.  Thanks!

Welcome to the mix Mark.  What are your "home" waters down in PA?

Welcome Mark.  So it looks like you live over by Franklin.  Not to far from me at all.

Thanks guys. My home waters are Oil, Sugar, and some other small creeks that drain into the Allegheny.  Right now I'm hunting those river fish that always make a run in mid summer.  I travel to the W. B. Delaware quite a bit, and obviously S. College.  I don't live far from you, I fished Redbank Cr. in early season this year when the stones were hatching.

Well If you are interested in competitive fly fishing you camt to the right place.  Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the different tactics we talk about on here.  I will be headed over to fish Justus Lake in your neck of the woods on Sunday.  Hopefully I can track down a few trout there.

I haven't fished the lake lately, but I have taken some river run brutes out of lower two mile creek, which is the outflow of it.  It is an interesting little stream.  I assume that you will be floating around the deep end by the breast of the dam... big boys down there.  Good luck!

Thanks I have heard the rumors of some big trout holding over in there.   We will see!  You have any idea how deep it is?

I can't remember exactly, but for some reason 65 feet by the breast is ringing a bell.

Sweet the lake will have a thermocline then!  Thanks Mark. I am already glad to have you as a member on the site.

Thanks Mark.  It definitely has a thermocline.  If you get a cool night, you might even see a few trout work in the morning by the outflow.  Other than that I always fished it with a full sinking line and various leech patterns... when I can get my buddies boat! Best of luck.

Welcome aboard Mark. Have fun, but don't feed the animals.
