Hi everyone,

I've actually been signed up for the Trout Legend forum for awhile, but never found much time to look around. I'm now fresh off of competing in my second tournament (this year's Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships), and I'm really starting to get excited about competition fly fishing. So, I thought I would introduce myself and make a little more time to read through some of the excellent material on this site (and hopefully make some contributions of my own).

I have lived in Winnipeg, MB for the past three years, moving here from Calgary, AB where I was born and raised. I had just got into fly fishing my last year or so in Calgary, and I thought my move to Winnipeg would bring about a short end to my fly fishing career. Boy was I wrong! I became a member of the Manitoba Fly Fishing Association, and the good people there showed me all of the excellent fly fishing opportunities available in our province. I eventually ended up on a team for the 2010 NFFC in Roblin, MB, and now I'm on the Manitoba Kingfishers team, which fished together for the first time in last week's NFFC in Montebello, Quebec.

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to getting involved in this community, and if the people in here are as friendly as the competitors I've met on the water, I'm sure it's a lot of fun.

Good to see you on the site Brent! Pleasure meeting you at Kenauk. I had a good time travelling around with John from your team, and chatting with you and the others at the Ceremony.

As you've noted there really is a wealth of old posts to sift through here, but please feel free to bring up any topics new or old you are currently interested in.
