Just found this site and noticed there were some interesting stillwater threads so I signed up.  My name's Mike, I teach and guide out of Edmonton, Alberta up here in Canada and I'm looking forward to sifting through the threads here.

Glad ya' found us!  How's the fishing up there right now?

Stillwaters are locked up 'til the thaw in May.  I could fish some open water in southern Alberta like the Bow and the Crowsnest rivers but you still need a Chinook to roll through to keep the ice chunks of the water and the guides from icing up.  So to answer your question, shack nasties are starting to settle in.
