Was just wondering what kind of tapers or maybe lack of you guys are using for indi's on Steelies... Was flippin an 0x tapered to 6lb flouro tippit and there was too much drag on the leader to get the fly where I wanted it.

For "indis" or "leaders"? I was a bit confused.

Lately, if I'm not swinging flies I'm throwing the "indicator for which we can not name" (thingamabobber). No need for a tapered leader when you're tossing that beast... I use from 8 to 16ft of straight mono (25lb-ish) knotted directly to whatever length of 3or4x tippet I may need depending on depth.

Yea I was refering to the thingamabobber. I thought 2 sections, but wasn't shure if guys were running a butt section of hard mono. Thanks D..

Take that with a small grain of salt though B as I'm usually changing it up depending on what river I'm on and what I did or didn't forget to bring

Ha! Yea What you did or didn't leave at the bench that were going to be 'The' flies the night before. I already stuffed roll of 20lb in the bag!! Limited to 15ft total tippit and leader so I'll run with that.
