NY Salmon Outlook 2010?

I know we got some lurkers on here that must be following the state of the salmon run this year.  Any reports are they running yet?  I am sure some rain would really help matters.

I heard of a few entering rivers last week, but I'll bet this 90+ degree heat wave will put an end to that.

My reports say the season may be substantial though based on the size and quality of fish being caught off shore.

Took my son up to the Salmon River where I guide this morning for a few hours.  20-25 came through; all were dark and most did not stop. Got a shot at 3 fish and none bit for Ryan.  Still early but I feel that this weekend's release and barometer will bring in some numbers.

My captain buddies are impressed by the size of the fish this summer.  It is "the year" we should be most affected by the low water spawning debacle a few years ago.
