VANCOUVER ISLAND STEEL

I'm gonna be spending the first week of july on vancouver island this summer and I'd REALLY like to get into a steelhead.
I'm probably one of the worlds foremost wanna be steelheaders and the pursuit of this fish has been kind of an obsession for the past 3 years or so. unfortunately I live in Colorado so steelhead aren't exactly down the block. never the less catching a steelhead has been my life's goal and it finally looks I'm going to have a legitimate shot at one. 

does anyone out there have any info/advice pertaining to the summer run of steel on vancouver island? flies, drainages, rigs, anything like that

Hey Connor,
Look no further. I am a born and bred ukee boy(Ucluelet ). It's on the west coast of the island, but I know the whole island like the back of my hand. Steelhead are my forte. I've got just the spot to pop your steelie cherry with a real west coast double digit summer run. I'd love to meet up and show you some Canadian hospitality, and great fishing. Let me know when and where you are coming.  There is sooo much more fishing on the island as well. I hope you are here for a while.
