New Favorite Polish Nymph
« on: December 05, 2010, 11:58:27 PM »
I've tried to come up with a good pattern for high and off color water...and I think I've found one.....

It's a polish nymph with a brown back and cream belly...copper wire rib and then I put on a flo. yellow collar....worked well...netted 12 total this weekend with 6 more drops....let me know what you think.....

It's all about angles. A good angle creates a good presentation which in turn puts more fish in the net.

what size is that nymph?
I like the looks of it and think it should be added to my box for sure.

That Nymph is a size 12 with a copper bead....I have some in sizes 10, 12 and 14.

One of my favorites is brown back, creme belly gold rib, natural squirrel collar with a thread H.S., and copper bead.

John do you think the fish can tell if it"s brown or black or just a dark ruddy color?

I'm not sure about that, I just know it's the contrasting colors on top and bottom which make this a good fly pattern. Olive on top is another good one.
