Those are awesome. Really like the legs on them. You should share the pattern as I'd love to know how to tie those. Have you ever done them with beads?

The bodies look like an antron yarn, that is wrapped thick to form the segmentation with thread running through the segments to secure it or provide visual segmentation. It also appears to be marker on the back for the contrast. Great great pattern. Would love to see the actual recipe as well.

Hi guys, the flies are more or less Oliver Edwards patterns. The body on the Rhyac is sparkle yarn . The body on the hydro. is latex

Yes Pat they can be done with beads . the under body is sticky back lead two lairs . The legs. on the Hydro are golden pheasant stripped across the quill that gives you the kick in the fibre. The legs on the Rhyac are english partridge dyed yellow and pulled in to the segments so they then stand out from the body.
