This is that i cam up with a couple things in mind.  I wanted the fly to have a lot of movement in the water and I wanted a pattern that was easy to tie.  This again is one that I started tying when I just got into tying.  I know there is really nothing original about the fly it is really just a super buggy hare's ear on a curved hook.

Hook:  Any curved Scud hook. Sz 12 to 18
-weight hook with .10 lead (This is optional unweighted and fished like a wet fly can be deadly)
Abdomen: Natural Rabbit body hair (only use the tan top section of the fur)
Thorax/Head:  Natural colored CDC

When finished use Velcro to pick out hair for the fly.  I believe the movement is what makes this fly deadly. It also also could be seen as a lot of things by the fish (Scud,Cress bug, caddis larva or pupa, etc...)

Its a simple easy quick tie and it really works well on Spring Creek in PA.  I know it would work on just about any stream.

No problem AA I figured I would post some of my easier ties till I get the hang of taking these pictures I took about 30 shots to get this one right.  I also got another Idea to get more patterns on the board so stay tuned for my little experiment.

Tie that with orange dyed hares ear and a strip of mylar across the back and you will have a killer scud pattern....my secret fly for fishing spring creeks.out west and here here in east.

Do the same in a very light olive mixed with light brown and you will get another killer scud pattern...

very very effective

It kills in PA.  It all about simple and affective I can tie a bunch and an hour and be good to go on any stream that has scuds or Cress bugs.
