Spring Jigs/Streamers for Lake Run Trout

A few progressive Migratory Trout flies from Legend headquarters.  Here we have a sampling of some Spring tweaked jigs and elongated Boobies.  Both patterns can be fished throughout the water column under an indie or float, BUT the Boobie is specifically designed to be swung on a floating line to entice a little tributary surface action.  With warmer spring water/weather Steelhead and especially Browns frequently striking at the surface chasing bait-fish and just generally in high spirited aggressive mode now is a perfect time to mark this off your bucket list.  The Boobies also fish well on a long shotted line to deep holding fish as the shot takes it to the bottom and the big foam eyed buggers float back and forth on a short leash.







Before you ask.  The one fly is called the Pink Medusa Skater - surprisingly ugly and effective

Nice eye shag - that certainly is a shag bead hiding in those stones. 

Daze, nope - no slr yet.  On the brink of buying one.  Just can't decide between the D40 or the close upgrades.  Dying to get one though especially so I can get a macro lens and start doing some proper fly and bug shots.  Don't tell your wife you like my pink boobys
