Team Stonefly and Unicoi Outfitters are proud to annouce the first annual Numb Toes and Big Bows Classic. This one day tournament will be held on the famous Nacoochee Bend property in Helen Ga, which is managed for trophy trout fishing by Unicoi Outfitters. The tournament will take place on the 25th of February from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., with a kickoff meeting @ 6:00 on the 24th at Nacoochee Grill in Helen, Ga (one teammate must be present). The tournament will be limited to 10 two man teams, and will follow all Fips Mouche rules. The format of the fishing, will be four two hour alternating flights, with each team guaranteed to fish a flight in the morning and one in the afternoon, which will be determinded by draw at the kickoff dinner. The entry fee for the tournament is $120 (non-refundable) per team, with all proceeds benefiting Family Promise Of White Co. (http://www.familypromiseofwhitecounty.com/). We have been fortunate enough to have fishing gear donated for a silent auction to help raise additional money for Family Promise of White Co. These donations will be displayed in Unicoi Outfitters in Helen, and open to the public for biding the week before the tournament. Registration to compete is open to the general public, on a first come basis. The deadline for registration is Feb 10Th. Congrats to Seth Sullivan and Gabriel Wittosch for a 1st place win yesterday at the Numb Toes and Big Bows Fly Fishing Competition! Chuck Head and Jason Bufkin of Team Stonefly got a close 2nd, and Kevin Griffin and Wes Neale of Dead Drift and Troutslayer wrapped up 3rd! Excellent run competition by Jake Darling of Team Stonefly and a huge thanks to Jimmy Harris, Unicoi Outfitters, and Family Promise of White County for all their hardwork and help with the event
