App Anglers will be hosting a two day competition on two of the three venues for the Fly Fishing Team USA Northeast Regional. The competition will be held on the same competition water as the regional. This will be the last weekend any of the regional comp water will be open to competitors. The venues will be Penns Creek and Spring Creek. Competition info is listed below. The field will be limited to 14 competitors. Each competitor will fish 4 sessions and control 4 sessions.

Penns Creek:
Comp Water- Town of Coburn downstream to the Dead end road.
Practice Water- Dead end road downstream to Poe Pade State Park.

Spring Creek:
Comp Water-Benner Springs Up and Down Stream of the new wooden bridge. Upper Spring above Bridge/Lower Spring below bridge.
Practice Water-Downstream of Fly Fisherman's Paradise Access

Entrance Fee: $10/ 50-50 Prize to angler with highest total amount of fish after two days.

All competitors will meet at the Feathered Hook Fly Shop Located in Coburn, PA at 7 am where we will draw beat assignments, I suggest you arrive at least 10 minutes early. The address for the shop is 516 Main Street Coburn, PA 16832. The first day will be spent on Penns Creek and the second day will be spent on Spring Creek at Benner Springs access. Penns is currently running at 912 cfs and Spring Creek at 183 cfs. Competitors will be fishing in two eight angler groups. Group A and B, group A will fish sessions 1 and 4 on Saturday and sessions 6 and 7 on Sunday. Group B will fish sessions 2 and 3 on Saturday and sessions 5 and 8 on Sunday. When you are not fishing a session you will be assigned a beat to control.

Schedule: Saturday (Penns Creek)
7:30-Meet at Feathered Hook, Sign Waivers and Draw beat assignments.
7:50-Move upstream to beats
8:30: Session 1 Start
9:30: Session 1 Finish
10:00: Session 2 Start
11:00: Session 2 Finish
11:01-12:30 Lunch Break(Pack own Lunch for Saturday, no convenience stores located within reasonable distance.)
1:00p: Session 3 Start
2:00p: Session 3 Finish
2:30p: Session 4 Start
3:30p: Session 4 Finish

Sunday(Spring Creek)
7:30-Meet at Benner Springs Access
8:30: Session 5 Start
9:30: Session 5 Finish
10:00: Session 6 Start
11:00: Session 6 Finish
11:01-12:30 Lunch Break
1:00p: Session 7 Start
2:00p: Session 7 Finish
2:30p: Session 8 Start
3:30p: Session 8 Finish

Because my math skills are poor, it is fixed now. Everyone gets an extra 1/2 hour to sleep in.

I did a little cold weather training today. Drove 2hr through 12inch snow drifts to float a little 40mph white squall stricken stream in my 9ft pontoon.
