after hearing all the fuss about boobies and how effective they are in still waters Ive been chafing at the bit to try 'em out but I still dont understand the concept behind them or how I should fish 'em. Ive been told by a few sources to fish a sinking line but Im stil a little in the dark about the premise behind them and why they'er so effective.

Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

I was using knapek hooks Size 8-10 Lake but I have switch to Hanak H200BL size 8-10 there cheaper and better quality. Arron and I have tied some mini boobie in 14s we called the pellet fly with brown eyes

Second the Hanak...nice hook, bit thinner wire than knapek but still strong

Conner, I bought some 6mm and 8mm booby eyes a couple years back and are still rolling with them. I use the white for sugarcube flies and split backs and a bunch of other crap too. Im sure it was touched on but make sure you trim your eyes round so they dont twist like a torpedo in the water.
