More Rain and Cold Weather
« on: April 19, 2011, 09:26:21 AM »
I don't know about everyone else in the NE US but I am sick of this rain!  The streams have been running at 2 to 5 times their normal levels and this rain is getting old!

Hopefully this results into better water levels later into summer and good fishing later but right now it sucks not being able to fish some of my favorite places epically some of the bigger rivers.

My streams and rivers are big too--the fishing is good and the soft wimpy anglers are all at home whining.  I kinda like it.

Thanks for realizing I was not being totally serious Jim!  Partly, yes-but not totally! :)

Yeah had the stream to myself tonight and did well.  I agree it has its perks.

I fished in NC in a T-shirt on Sunday. Mid 80s here this weekend. We've been getting a lot of rain, but most streams are fishable the next day after a storm. The 3 inches of rain on Friday was a bit excessive though.

I'm not scared of snow. Lived in it for most of my life, until 13 years ago.

Everytime we hit a day of good weather I've been thinking: "we've finally turned the corner on Spring!" Then it snows the next dam day.  Unbelievable, this winter just doesn't want to give up.  Should be a prosperous year though based on the full water table.

Well I must admit to all, the rivers in Colorado have been fishing wonderful. I have been fishing the Blue and the Ark. The caddis hatch has started on the Ark but today it ended for a while snow and cold has shut it down. Over the past couple of weeks the temps have been as high as 70 but as low as 25.
I feel for you guys out east

Don't feel to bad the fishing has been awesome when the water is not over the banks and the color of coffee with extra cream.  The rain just gives me more time to tie for nationals.
