Sonic Pro Waders
« on: August 07, 2011, 08:29:06 PM »
Anyone else have a pair?  Got an XL because I was worried about foot size, but I'm swimming in the darn things.

I'm a 12 street shoe, 14 wading boot.  Used to have Simms Guides L(12-13)

Just worried about cramping my feet with a pair or two of socks on.

If someone could PM me or reply on this be much appreciated.

btw, these waders look fantastic for the price.

i have a pair with the zipper..like them alot so far..there seemless technology mite be the future of waders..still cant get over the fact a zipper doesnt take in water, but it diesnt..so nice to have that feature when its hot out or just to take a piss.

Ihave the cpx zip fronts and went with one size above normal shoe size ..no problem with the extra room...maybe try the extra socks Dejon that might help.

mine have not leaked either..love these waders

I've been looking at these waders for my next fall purchase. It's nice to know a few guys have them and like them. Still skeptical on the front zippers but may have to give it a try.

Hey Dejon...I actually posted an update yesterday on my experiences so far.
http://troutlegend.com/forum/general-discussion/waders-anything-beat-simms/

Bottom line I really like them.  No issues at all yet. I too got an xl and they seem a little big in the feet but it hasnt caused any problems.  I could probably fit into a large just as well as the xl but I wanted to make sure I could get into them with a couple layers on as I do as much winter fishing as summer fishing.

Does the zipper on these things actually come down so far that it can be used to "relieve" oneself? Or is it merely there to aid getting in and out?  Aiding in calls to nature would sure be a boon.

It really depends on YOU...how you fit into them.  I would say most guys would have to partially pull them down but with the suspenders being stretchy but not flimsy you could most likely get away without having to take everything off...
