I just received a troubling email that implies that is was sent to me from Paul Bourcq. I don't know if it's real or a scam from hackers, as I spent over 2 hours on a Skype meeting/conference call with him and his NC team on Sunday evening, and never once did he mentioned that he was in the U.K.

Can someone confirm if he is there and if this email is legit?

Here's the email that I just received:

Subject: SAD NEWS

I'm Sorry I did not inform you about my trip to United Kingdom for a program ,I'm presently in England Uk,something extremely Awful happened to me,I was robbed at gun point on my way to the Hotel by some Hoodlums and they made away with my Bag and other valuables. Presently my things are been held down by the hotel management due to my inability to pay the hotel bills which I currently owe,they even had to restrict my access to the hotel facilitates until outstanding bills are cleared and i don't have a dime on me again,i had to walk down to the city library in order to send you this email.I have spoken to the embassy here but they are not responding effectively to the matter.

I feel so devastated,now my passport and other belongings are been retained by the hotel management pending the time I pay my hotel bills.This is shameful,I need you to help me with a loan of 1,150 pounds to pay my hotel bills and get my self home.I will reimburse you soon as I get back Home.I will appreciate whatever you can assist me with. Let me know whatever amount you can help me with.

email hacker! probably from facebook as this is a email i have seen several times from facebook accounts. Same one was sent to my wife and her dad 2 months ago.

I suggest anyone just delete this email if they receive it. That's what I've been doing.

todd, can you send me like 50 bucks while you are at it? i'm going to a tournament in north carolina this weekend and alcohol tends to get expensive.

Im good. It was a hacker. The good news is I now know that 100 people would send me money or come pick me up (thanks Chris Lee) the bad news is I lost all my mail and contacts. But I had them backed up on a .csv.

Dell, although I wouldn't tangle with an armed robber Id probably give an unarmed guy a whirl.
