There is something majestic and true about catching a river born Rainbow Trout. They really only thrive when waters run clear, clean, and cold. Unlike the “everyman trout”, the staple of we low land people, the brown trout; they can not accommodate warm weather and pollution. They hold, often, in the choicest part of each run. Where air and wave meat to form oxygen. And when chance happens to hook such a beast they explode with sheer energy! The unmistakable leaping prowess of a wild rainbow has been sought after by many an angler through the ages. Even when they are merely a hands length.
In times of extreme sorrow and sadness it’s nice to know there are clear running streams nearby. There is, even for this cynical New York kid, a great pride and soul washing in driving past huge unfurled American flags waving in the wind to find crystal clear creeks holding wild Rainbow Trout.

Nice rainbows! Those are some awesome photos.
You should think about posting some of your catches to FellowFishermen.com. You can show off your catches and fishing spots (or choose to keep your spots a secret) and find new places to go fishing with the real-world fishing maps.
