I think I’ve created a monster. My son will be turning 4 in one week and he’s all ready fishing obsessed. All he talks about is fishing. He spends hours in the backyard casting and that’s after I untangle his line from the chandelier and kick him outside. Everything is fishing. He wants to watch “River Monsters” over and over and over again. We tell fishing stories before bedtime and on the way to the grocery store. I have no idea where he gets it from.

With a little (read a lot) of help from me he’s all ready tying flies and landing fish. We’re still at that age where fishing trips mean daddy has to be a full time guide. But with all of this before his 4th Birthday I wonder what he’ll be doing at the age of 6 or 7?  Exciting prospect thinking about the day when we can go fishing… and both fish.   I once saw a picture of a 6 year old who had just landed his first Steelhead. I think we’re going to beat that by a year easy!
