The America Cup International Fly Fishing Tournament wrapped up this last weekend. 70 high caliber anglers from all around the world converged to compete in a 3 day, 5 venue, intense fly fishing competition around the waters of Vail, CO. The America Cup has easily situated itself as the Premier non-national fly fishing tournament in North America. The entire TroutLegend League would like to congratulate John and Jodi Knight and their staff for a successful competition. We’re all looking forward to next year!

The America Cup was a great success this year. With variable water on 3 different rivers, the anglers were at their best; working as teams to decipher the rivers’ riddles each day. The weather was agreeable, and almost “too good”. Colorado blue bird skies for 3 days straight and not a cloud in sight, sometimes you get what you ask for! The Cup offered a competition that was fought to the last fish on the last session and the teams battled it out to the finish!
